Stuffed Honey-Ham Biscuits

Made this for a snack/lunch yesterday. It was a HUGE hit with my family.

I did use the honey butter biscuits, which added just the right amount of extra sweetness. The only request that my family made was more meat and no honey mustard sauce, so I will make the changes next time, but over all these were GREAT and so quick and easy to throw together.

Nice take-off on Funeral Sandwiches…and the title of the recipe is not as depressing. Will be giving them a try. 🙂

Stuffed Honey-Ham Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp . honey
  • 2 tbsp . butter melted
  • 2 tbsp . honey mustard or honey mustard salad dressing
  • 1 tube Grands!®Jr. Golden Layers Flaky Refrigerated Biscuits 10 count
  • 10 slices smoked ham
  • 5 slices provolone cheese cut into fourths

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400f degrees.
  2. Spray a 9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Separate each biscuit into two layers. They should separate easily.
  4. If not, just take a knife and make a small cut into the side of the biscuit and then pull to separate.
  5. You will have 20 biscuit slices after you're done.
  6. Spread honey mustard on all the biscuit slices.
  7. Place slices of provolone cheese on all the biscuit slices.
  8. Then, place 10 of the biscuit slices into your prepared baking dish and add a slice of ham onto each one.
  9. Top ham with remaining biscuit slices, cheese side down.
  10. Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.
  11. Bake biscuits for about 15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  12. Heat honey in a microwave safe bowl for about 20 seconds.
  13. Brush the tops of the golden biscuits with the warm honey.
